Delete your SplitPaw account
You can delete your SplitPaw account and its associated data at any time, either directly in the app or by contacting us. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
From the app (recommended)
- 1Open SplitPaw and sign in.
- 2Go to Settings → Terms & Privacy.
- 3Tap “Delete account” and confirm.
- 4Your account and personal data are removed immediately.
No access to the app
If you can no longer sign in, email us from the address you registered with to privacy@splitpaw.app with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
Request deletion by emailDelete only some of your data (without closing your account)
- Delete a single expense: open it inside the group and tap Delete.
- Leave a group, or delete it entirely if you own it, from the group detail.
- Remove a receipt by deleting its associated expense.
- Clear My Pocket by deleting personal expenses or budgets from that section.
- You can also ask us to delete specific data by emailing privacy@splitpaw.app, without closing your account.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, email, photo).
- Your expenses, splits and personal balances.
- Groups you solely own, along with their content.
- Your chat messages, reactions and mentions.
- Your uploaded receipts and payment proofs.
- Your My Pocket data (personal expenses, budgets, metrics).
- Your notification tokens and preferences.
What is kept (and for how long)
- In groups shared with others, expenses you recorded may remain visible to the remaining members as historical reference for their balances, shown anonymized.
- Minimal records required by law (for example, Premium purchase receipts) are kept only as long as regulations require.
- Backups are purged within 90 days of deletion.
Deleting your account ends your Premium access with no refund for unused time. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by the store (Apple App Store or Google Play) under their own policies.
